Minutes for Music Boosters Meeting

Attendees: Ken Koeritzer, Jim Buras, Debbie Manfredi, Nancy Hughes, Amy Buras, Cindy McMinn, Holly Mullen, and Yvonne Spencer
Budget: Yvonne presented the budget based on our present income and expenses. There was some discussion as to whether the old uniforms should be cleaned before storage. Decision on this is postponed until the purpose of the uniforms the of the uniforms is determined. It is also unknown if Boosters will be paying for any portion of the Flag Team uniforms.
Minutes: The minutes were read and approved as presented.
Class Reports: None were presented.
Music Marathon: Kim was unable to be present due to illness. However, Amy reported that Kim will be meeting with a committee next week, including Debbie Manfredi, Terry Baughman, and Amy Buras. Additional volunteers for the committee were requested, and Holly Mullen, Jim Buras, and Cindy McMinn expressed interest. A prototype of the 11X14 posters that will be printed by DoveTail Printers was previewed. Ken Koeritzer suggested, and it was agreed in the meeting, that notation should be made on the poster to indicate that the Marathon was a fundraiser to support the music program at Damascus High School. There was also discussion as to whether the Marathon should be advertised as a time of live music if music video tapes of half-time performances may be shown. It was decided that “live music” should be advertised. Kim has determined that there will be 108, 15-minute slots at the marathon.
Miscellaneous: Cindy McMinn volunteered her son, Emory, to build a new uniform rack as his Boy scout Eagle project.
